What All Sales People Hate To Hear...
A Real Montreal Telemarketing Script For Low Interest Sales

1. That telephone sales people are dishonest:

This is not true of the vast majority, even in Montreal.  They are ordered to do their jobs, reassured that their work is acceptable, and many simply do not know much about certain products they are selling - eg. low-interest.

2. That telephone sales people are certain ethnic groups:

In Montreal, all countries come together.

3. That telephone sales people are uneducated:

This is not true at all.  They may have held good jobs or operated their own small businesses, they may be moonlighting, or they may be middle-class housewives or graduate student.

4. That you have the right of refund:

Why should you think this, when anyone can be calling you today, from anywhere in the world, using phone masking devices.  I do not know what those devices are, however I am sure there are many of them.

5. That you have a customer service representative.

That person is just a sales person, who may not be at this job for more than a month or two.

6. That the wire taping is there to protect you.

We believed this at first.  These tapes are used to show Visa and Mastercard that you have been shopping.  When they call back to make a second tape, I fear the second tape could be used to push through a second sale.  That explains those mysterious charges on your credit card statements.

7. That you will ever get through to management:

Do you know how many calls and sales go through any office in one hour?  The managers are the ones who are making the salespeople go at this killer pace.

8. That your threats scare these people:

Being fired is the worst scare, or not making enough money; localized issues.  Actions speak louder than words.

9. That your salesperson was acting when they seemed to liek you:

Not necessarily.  They are caught between a rock and a hard place themselves.

10. That the law will protect you.

The law is trying to protect you.  You must stop picking up the phone, watch your card numbers like a hawk, make records by fax and xerox immediately as soon as you think those numbers have been entered ijnto some sales offices records mysteriously, and just do not pay.

If millions of you are threatrened with poor credit ratings unless you pay for those mysterious charges, local groups should band together, and you will need records - make dates, times. etc.
