There is a second less used code from the suburban Laval area.
If you are not a business you could block all calls from Quebec and/or Canada. American telemarketing companies calling from
your own country must be more legally accountable.
2. Buy a anti-telemarketing phone device. (I have no connection
to such a company, and I recommend victims buy from retail stores of their own choice, or the same companies who have first
victimized them may turn them around a second time and sell them crime protection gadgets!) These devices I recommend because
they really work.
3. Recognize a sales call for what it is, and terminate it within seconds. Sales tricks involve,
You have won...You have been especially selected for....You filled in a contest form at the local shopping centre....Because
you have been such a good customer....Do not get rude or threaten. You will never get to speak to the Big Boss for he is
well protected over the 49th parallel. The longer you talk, the more likely you will weaken. Use your telephone devices
and services to investigate the call.
4. Make all money decisions with your spouse or family, especially when it
is not an in-store purchase where you know the salespeople, business, and have the legal right of return of shabby goods or
services. Salespeople loathe people who have to consult others! Maintain a united front with your spouse, family, employees
co-workers when it comes to Montreal telemarketers, because they will cause you to argue, trying to find the vulnerable link
in your group, the Easy Buyer.
5. Keep paper records such as bills, receipts, Xeroxed copies of all your purchases
wherever you make them. Do not believe a record made by the Other Side such as a tape recording is there to protect you!
Tapes can be edited and doctored, and even copied to make it appear as though you have made a second purchase you may not
have made. You can tape record your own business and work calls yourself as the Little Guy!
